Man: So, what happened to you, Tina?
Girl: I fell off my bike yesterday.
Man: Have you got a headache?
Girl: No, and my arm feels OK. But I still can’t move my leg.
Man: Let me see. Hmm, I’m afraid I’ve got bad news for you. I think your leg is broken. You’ll have to have an X-ray and probably stay in hospital.
Girl: Oh, no! At the beginning of the holidays!

Girl: Hi, James. What’s wrong?

Boy: I’ve lost my mobile.

Girl: That happened to me too! Last week. But I found mine under the kitchen table. When did you last have yours?

Boy: Well, I remember I took it to the bathroom. I was taking a shower when Peter called. Later I texted him at the kitchen table, so I definitely had my mobile there.

Girl: And then?

Boy: I went to my room. Oh, I remember now. While I was packing my rucksack in my room something fell out of my pocket. I’m sure it was my mobile. It must still be there.

Boy: What about the swimming competition on Saturday? Are you taking part in it?

Girl: No. We are going to my grandma’s for the whole weekend.

Boy: So you’ll probably be sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Your granny lives at the seaside, right?

Girl: Oh, I mean the other one. She lives in the mountains. I’m planning to go hiking. I want to get to the top of a few hills in the area.

Boy: So have a great time there.

Girl: Thank you and good luck to you in the swimming race.

Woman: Excuse me. I was here about half an hour ago. I was carrying a lot of shopping bags. Do you remember me?

Man: Yes, I do. You were sitting at the table by the window.

Woman: That’s right. I came here to have lunch. Then I took a taxi home, and I couldn’t pay the driver because I didn’t have my handbag. I think I left my handbag here.

Man: Please wait here a moment and I’ll go and check. Help yourself to some water, if you want.

Girl: Hi Ann, Emma here. I’ve just seen the perfect dress for you! It’s very fashionable and in your favourite colour. You’ll look lovely in it! I think you should go and buy it for the school party! I’ll text you the details soon. You can thank me later. By the way, have you invited Alex yet or are you going with somebody else?
